victorian house by toneloperu victorian house by toneloperu
a victorian house I made to practice some architectural modeling. For the modeling reference and the texturing I used a photo from the internet. Unfortunately there was only one view of the house so the sides had to be interpreted/improvised. Modeling and rendering in 3ds max.

It looks gorgeous! Can I try using it for a photo manipulation?

very nice, but what happened on the second floor left... below the window looks like that might not have been intentional.

Thanks for the comment. That part was made by cloning another section of the house and it didn't go very well. It should have been reworked but I didn't want to take too long on this one.

thanks for the comment and fav. The 3 grates in the bottom right are textured from a photo.

It looks awesome! I wish I could do something so beautiful :)
How long did it take to model this?

Thanks for the comment. The modeling itself must have taken a couple hours but I also had to prepare the textures prior to the modeling and also assemble the parts in the end. It would have been faster if I had more photos of the house other than just the front. So from beginning to end the whole thing must have been 3 or 4 hours. Fortunately, the render time was only a few seconds.

Very nice.  Excellent detail and subtle colors.  You might try a render with a light set to mimic yellow sunlight.  It will look a bit more real, and will bring out the colors.
